Health Care Organizations Unite?

Wednesday, June 4th 2004. On 1338 Mission Street between 9th and 10th Streets, time 8am. Or earlier to catch a Charter bus to Sacramento where California’s State Capital resides.

Arguing with Dee (co owner/boss of Poor Magazine).
About only having five photo ops to shoot during this all day venture results in being without a camera to shoot any film.

Maybe keep my yap shut… nah, if one is going to a function as this more than five individual shots of film is needed besides I cannot be everywhere at once as people go on and off the bus.

This is where a digital camcorder would be handy and not just film or a human portable web cam set up (a person becomes a mobile, roving web site in real
Time as it happens.)

Bottom line there was no money, its all the equipment she and arguing on the point meant no camera unless I use my own which isn’t happening because this should be digital, the more perfect copies in digital than film the images to capture and never lose to films decomposing shelf life. The old mini tape will do minus film.

Arriving early 7am. At S. E. I .U Service Employees Int. Union, where a woman waiting waits soon doors open and people enter their language’s are Russian, Spanish, Asian, Philippine, American, and other who’s dialect I don’t recognize.
Three Charter busses are ready packed with sodas, water, lunch bags. We get in, wait a bit then begin rolling to California’s State Capitol in Sacramento to protest Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger cuts in health care to mentally and physically disabled people and its effects on workers, patients, and families caring for them. The Protest/rally is called: "Quality Care Begins At Home

A stop in Oakland the first leg of protests "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, Health Care Is the Way to Go."

The Highway patrol made an outer circle encircling the protestors with their ring. It almost seems a protective in a way. It’s a peaceful gathering of determined, angry, concerned, multi-lingual, culture, hued folks having our say telling Arnold –the-‘G this will not stand and he has a long fight on his hands.

We’re Here, We’re Loud…" "Arnold, Arnold Don’t you know, Healthcare Cuts Have Got To Go."

An interview within the swirl of people protesting, loud speaker’s, honking, cars, trucks, and busses makes it extremely difficult to conduct an interview let along a few.

And hour or so then to Fairfield for rest, lunch, and what’s to be done when we’re in Sacramento.

From January of 2004 to now June Governor A. Schwartzenegger has had six months to rethink his cutting the health care. For those affected work has been hard,fast,and furious to get ring the Gov’s ear have him use other means than balancing the state budget on the backs of the mentally and physically disabled. Those who’s jobs it is to help them live longer,safer,and healthier lives.

On the Capitol’lawn in Sacramento there are many eloquent public speakers. Some are health aide workers,former workers, wheel bound activist, patients,politicians,and church leaders.

All condemning the California Governor’s choice in budget cuts and balancing act.

The sun beams high, weak clouds,clear azure blue skies,need gentle breezes, water,soft drinks, sandwiches,and porta- potties insight.

My old recorder cuts in and out,my second set of batteries die making me unable to record soul stirring,heart felt speaker’s. On the bus I counted the sandwiches I’ve eaten
1 ham, 2 eggs 2 turkey, sandwiches, a diet seven up, 1 Dr. Pepper,2 potato chips and saved two apples for later at home.

It was an experience I might do again sometime.
Going home is a pleasant ride with zzzzz’s until its time to disembark.

If poor folks stopped work altogether everywhere after saving up 6 to 9 months of rent, food, medical,with support from a few who do work.

Those who have access to food,pharmacological, or other health necessities can also be of immense help. I walk to my home glad that I participated.

Thinking of my mother, if anything happened to her health how would I cope? That’s a scary thought because I wouldn’t want to spend her money down then place in a lonely old room with strangers kind people but strangers not the less taking care of her.
It’s a hard world and everyone catches their pieces of hell but it shouldn’t go on when one is the autumn of their years this is the time a rest, relaxation, and looking back, without any worries. At least that’s how I always believed about Sunset years.

Does Stop-Loss=Death?

I’m not military expert or ex Jarhead, Dogface, Flyers,or washed out Cadet but this Military term a first sounds like a tourniquet on a bleeding wound used to temporarily stop blood flow of a wound.

I quickly looked up what Stop Loss means on the net,how its starts.
Here it is verbatim.

Stop Loss

The Secretary of Defense has delegated Stop Loss authority to the branch secretaries.

That means it's up to the S.O.D. Army,Navy or the Air Force to determine if they'll let people out.

The Air Force has stopped all retirements and separations for the next thirty days unless the separation has already been approved to occur before Oct 1.

The Army has not implemented Stop Loss.

The Navy has implemented a limited stop loss for people in 11 critical specialties that will affect about 10,500 people.

The Marine Corps will announce its plans later this week.

2001, so it may have been in the works because short footed man/fem shortage.

Man!I know being military is personnel are an honor and privilege serving our country.
(I get that) it’s also get it can be a harsh, lonely time what with boot camp being a buck private.

Learning all the songs rules, traditions.

You may have had regular sexual relations with women or women with men all that stops cold unless one’s lucky enough to hook up in the military.

Still there are procedures follow you might end up with a dishonorable discharge or worse in the brig (jail) or court martial (trial by a military court).

Once all those early hurdles are crossed, after graduation.

Being picked for your best skills, performance, you may be deployed anywhere to in the world doing what you were trained for whatever it may be.

That is understood, Government Issue meaning for term of the military contract you trained, get regular salary and when your tour of duty ends you can decide re-up (reenlist) or not.

But Stop-Loss is a way if of keeping trained, scarce military personnel in harness especially if sign-ups are low.

When America’s All Voluntary isn’t getting as many taker’s well Being an experienced soldier and keeping them in seems to be the way to go to the Secretary Of Defense plus most experienced soldiers won’t gripe at least not to their superior officer’s.

Yes,men,women volunteered,get excellent training,travel opportunities and if they survive the horrors war with little wounding or mental anguish. Rank does have it privileges though many lose limbs, mind, or lives in war.

So when ones time is up is it any wonder those that want to live quiet or adventurous civilian lives should be able to go on ending their military career’s?

Another bite at the apple,forced tours of duty,to never see loved one’s brother, father, sister,son,mother,wife, husband,or birth child.

Are the men and women Cannon Fodder again because of there’s not enough people joining up?

How long can Stop-Loss staunch the tide in Iraq?

Its like a bad time travel story where the hero’s try as they might cannot save the lives intended and instead become part of dying history.

Men, women, who would’ve been home relatively safe are now fated to fight on. It makes one glad that if one dies in battle it’s finally over and no returning after physical regeneration, rejuvenation to fight all over again.

That’s a living hell soldiers are glad not to know is reality at the moment.

It seems Stop-Loss is the invisible fine print when joining.

How many enlisting now know of this?

Would enlisted folks with hindsight re think military career’s probably not but for those now thinking of enlisting will they have second,third,or fourth thoughts before going in now?

What about those retired or just out but knowing units with their buds and sister’s are Stop-Loosed how do you feel,explain.

Fast Time Friday

Friday,June 18,2004.
Families are being set upon tossed out with little or no recourse.

At 555 California the location of a towering opaque glass, cement, and steel Bank Of America building is the site of people of all ages from neighborhoods protesting forced evictions by certain corporations.

Some chants begin "Pay Your Taxes,Pay Your Taxes."

When sitting down to gather film,tape for reporting a neatly dressed, middle aged black man says to me and another person standing up said we would have to leave the property.

J:"I cannot sit down

because it’s public property,private property; is this private property"?

I say aloud.

We moved, police be around not quite bored just sort-a glad to draw a less lethal duty though weary about it too.

At least that what it seems like to me.

A man who looked like the world renowned Charlie Chaplain’s "little hobo" character in his suit, bowler hat, and trademark mustache.

He "The Unholy Banker" he calls him self with a pail of green paper’s with marking resembling money.
J:"And you are, besides being the unholy banker."
M:"Right."

J:"You are also?"

M:"Michael Gance or Ganse."
"Background sounds make Michael’s interview unable for me to hear.

Pictures are taken for different angles, close ups, and crowd shots and individuals. Then back to interviewing.

J: "What’s this all about again, what’s happening, what they ‘doing wrong now?"

M. B: "What’the corporations are doing their trying to get the property (the value) lowered to get more money into their coffers.

If they paid the proper set values which is $890 million dollars it would equal more money for the city coffer’s and we hope that would translate to more jobs, money for homeless, more money for child care."

As you can see most importantly we got the young people our here from Sunnyvale, Oceanview, Bay View, Double Rock, and from all over… getting involved in activism.

That is so important to me." And hopefully we will this cause, but, like I said, the people out here are here to help our communities."
J: "And your name sir?"

J: "Thank You."

I spoke with Mr. Joe Wilson next for a quick interview.
J-W: "Yes, you are."

J: "I’m from POOR Magazine; well, what’s happening?"

J-W: "I’m Joe Wilson, of Colemen Advocates.
Well, today we’re here at Bank Of America urging B of A to pay its fair chair of taxes. Because these property taxes go a long way to funding youth programs, youth jobs, after school programs, childcare, and vital prevention in neighborhoods all over the city.

So B of A is trying to cheat the city out more than $4,000,000 dollars – $4.6 million dollars in fair property assessment and we think those dollars can go along way to helping a lot of youth in our communities to stem the tide of violence."

Another person in the fight against corporate greed is N’Tanya Lee. A petite young woman who doesn’t honey-up the truth; serves it raw for all to hear.

I’ve taken a picture of you…" (N’tanya L.) Ms. Lee spoke up right away.
N-L: "We’re here because at a time in our city, where young people are dying at unprecedented and the city is facing the worst budget crisis in fifty years with the we’ve got wealthy corporations in the city who are refusing to pay their fair share of taxes. We’re saying Bank of America… and some of the richest companies in the entire world that’s right. They…"

J: "Sucking all the money from the city."

N-L: "They basically are trying to cheat the city out of millions of dollars in taxes that the community needs to pay for youth services, programs, youth jobs.

Things that can make a difference in young people’s lives that can save an actually be a real solution to the violence in our communities."

J: "Thank you, and your name?"

N-L: "N’Tanya Lee, Common Sense Coalition and Director of Coleman Advocates."

Gay Panic/ Twinkie Defense

Being biologically male got Mr. Gwen Araujo killed.

But from here on I’ll refer to Gwen in the feminine.

The reason Gwen,17 died October 3,2002 is that she played her role too well fooling Jose Merel, 24 at a house party.

He [Merel reportedly ran out the kitchen after discovering Ms. Araujo’s true orientation this after he had sex with Araujo.
Somebody received sexual gratification that night.

Some hours Ms. Gwen is beaten blood and murdered.

The Gay Panic Defense reminds me of Dan Whites Twinkie Defense though it wasn’t gay panic there sure is an element gay hatred as he shot Supervisor Harvey Milk twice after killing Mayor Moscone.

What was this past the boiling point reason? The loss of his job as Supervisor.

It seems women are partly right say heterosexual men are touchy about our sexuality.

We are because we’ve been conditioned to react in certain rote ways when young as in picking on smaller feminine looking boys, ganging or regular beat down on the A student bookworm, poet…

You boys and guys the don’t fit the proscribed profile guys who seem or act different from what boys or men are suppose to be at least in their minds eye.

Men must first ask themselves why gay and bisexual men are viewed with such fear and loathing by so many men in our society. In order for men to indiscriminately take on the fear and hatred of a group of men they do not know, they must somehow be seen collectively as a threat.

The next question, of course, is why gay and bisexual men could possibly be seen as a threat to other, heterosexual men.

In a patriarchal society, gay and bisexual men could be seen as a threat to the construction and maintenance of the socially accepted "normal" form of masculinity.

Being a male. If heterosexual men rule, it becomes important to keep gay and bisexual men in their place, on the lowest rungs of the masculine hierarchy of power.

One way of achieving this is to create an extreme, generalised fear and hatred of those men who are different.

This hatred is also extended to any men, regardless of their sexuality, who don't live up to the "normal" standard.

Perhaps one of the greatest threats that gay and bisexual men present to heterosexual men is the fear of their own desires.

This sounds awfully familiar because I am one of those different, boys now a grown man and being straight was no guarantee for less or no abuse by my heterosexed brothers because anything not seeming like them is a threat.

What was my threat to them besides being black, male with a lazy left eye?

Its carrying books, wearing glasses, liking school girls (I could talk with them freely) but as with most males there was always some miscommunication.

I made up stories to amuse myself and other kids, rode the yellow bus, got kissed and beaten up by larger girls when they couldn’t say they liked they may have been tomboys before becoming women straight, lesbian, or bi sexual.

I asked questions, used my imagination a lot and sometimes would actually call out bullies to beat me and get if over with saying "So you beat me up what have you proved, but I’ll keep coming back."

It scares bullies sometimes to be called out to fight by someone they beat up regular.

I wonder if gay girls and women go through similar situations but use different methods other than brute force trauma?

Let’s get them they’re different be they too thin, fat, busty, smart, sensitive, pretty, ugly, beautiful, handsome, strong, weak, red, brown, white, black, yellow, don’t conform to our norm.

This gay panic excuse because one man mistakes another one dressed up fem fooling them is an excuse to get away with murder and yet if most women acted as the same way… Let’s say women would be truly running the world if they already were just choosing not be bothered with the responsibility.

My thing is be aware lots of sun-kist and Memorex women are so gorgeous they cannot be real that goes for females dressed as men which much easier to pull of just conforming their pants as men do without the inverted V.

Straing guys, gay guys at least most of them aren’t after you, some are after women as some lesbian go after straight guy for a change. Straight guys "GROW UP" SAY I DON’T BEND THAT WAY AND LEAVE IT THAT."

Your so-called panic shows you’re half men, still little boys playing in grown up clothes.

There’s got to be a better way to deal than to kill.

The gay bashing I understand a little of it.

The biblical God fearing, hell fire aspect being raised roman catholic however to ride in a car, bus, taxi, or train to actually look for gay people to beat up.

You have personal problems with their sexual orientation is stupid, illogical, and waste time.

How would like if one or a few leather clad gay guys invaded your neighborhood with baseball bats, chains, and knives and attacked you alone or with your friends for no other reason than your don’t sleep with men.

Gay Pride is coming up Sunday I feel safer then than any other time besides It’s a waste of time hating someone because they’re different, everyone unique and different in their own way. But if there are lesbians who want to try sex with a guy, I’m ready two would be my fantasy – straight or lesbian as long as their real biological females.

I’m not picky just honest.

Pol Day’s

I don’t think of politics or politicians.

Its not that it’s a bother its just that like fashion or fads they change everyday and every four to six years.

There is so much print, words,sound bites devoted to what’s said,not said, should-a,could-awould-a been said if such and such situation occurred or not.

Working in a constantly struggling non profit organization taught me lots of various skills not learned on 9to5 jobs.

It being an art/written, poetic plus helping people of little or no means, hearing about feverish grant writing sessions for monies gets to one at times.

No grant writer am I - it gets hairy as an employee hearing the org is constantly in need of funds even though some funds are earmarked for my pay still one begins looking,placing applications in all sorts of places.

Did G.A.(General Assistance and Work Fare shuffle don't want to go through it again.
Anyone got an old G3-4 PC,lap or desktop they want to give away?

That's the one thing I'd miss writing colunms,short stories on'em.

Possibly making money on the net with a PC connected in my place.

I can learn doing voice over on radio since I’ve read scripts,shortened columns to its essence for radio.

Since most of the time PNN or KPFA 91. 4 FM is a half-hour show dedicated informing the public on politics,promoting itself and others with various kinds of bumper music for mood.

I enjoyed it but would like to branch out,see if I can do other things.

PNN is their show I’m a hired employee,what’s humorous from what I like writing,taling about isn’t used much.

I save my works for when it can used there’s no remaking the wheel.

One story touched on is if Gay men,women and children not suddenly but over time vanished not from violence,or segregated away but from a genetic biological breakthrough.

Its speculative fiction folks,a tale to tell.

This improbable story takes place in other dimensions,worlds,not on our world.

After a dramatic reading it would be said visitors lands in our cities, countries find we have similar kinds of social
gatherings and think they’re helping then I can leave a question mark making an audio series out of it.

Oh,now I do phone advertising,never was good at it,thought my voice is sorta made for it.

For me its torture,but can’t say no because its an as needed job (add on extra job).

Meaning any(fill-in)is your to do job.(It feels that way to me)

Another reason to move on,not looking back.

Time to do this add thing w/phone until its found out I’m not good at it.

Until then,does anyone out there know how one gets voice over job(s) at other radio or television stations?

Classic 2 Cola

Is this set-up No.2 too?

Anyone remember Classic Coke ads years ago when the smart folks decided to monkey around with the original formula?

Not leaving cocaine out in the early to mid 1950’s that particular ingredient had to go.

No wonder teens could get enough of the brown sweet drink especially if a light buzz or high came with every sip.

Remember a couple of years ago Coke had a similar campaign?

Most of us know what happened.

The company messed up the formula I don’t what they did or how they did it but they either not quite done or over did but it coke never tasted the same.

Now this Classic 2 hmm, could it be they researched what went wrong and have decided to bring back the original taste minus the cocaine?

Maybe its just me but if it taste like it use to taste or better that means they’ve found the original formula then improved upon it – fine.

Except its like a shell game to make money on the same damn pea with the public falling into place like Pavlov’s dog slobbering for its cola fix.

Wanna get fooled again people looks like that’s the game they’re playing but remember all their profits come from us being consumers however there healthier choices on the market now and everything does not go better with coke.

I’m knocking the bottling company a little they can take it raking in billions of dollars world wide but its our choice to give ‘em the money.

I haven’t tried classic 2 yet but if and when I do whatever I feel about the subject will not be shared because this taste thing is subjective all I’m saying is be aware of all these ads on TV.

Another thing don’t you wish you had a switch to keep credits rolling to the end of shows like "Cold Case,C.S.I. Miami/New York or its original C.S.I.,or that A.I. Movie.
Artificial Intelligence

I like the slower scroll of the credits on television not the whipcord hi speed/split screen into "The news starts now" crap.

Jesus Christ! let me in bask in the end-of-show respite before hurling into global turmoil news feeds.

Folks you know what I’m talking about.

It’s bad enough with commercials in movies now in our own space we should have a technical option of keeping our own screens whole.

It won’t bother the ad folks,we’re not infringing on their moneymaking but for we at home with a beer, martini,ThunderBird,or Champaign at the ready really doesn’t want to see all that.

The last thing wanted is our favorite show(s)end- sped into the news.

Am I the only one slightly upset over this split screen speed up, voice over stuff?

We have thousands of technical people working to improving the speed of wireless communications globally and yet there’s no control to bypass the end of program speed split screen voice over into news.

I’m not tech ex on any of these emerging technologies but isn’t it possible to have choices when watching television.

Oh,I forgot Poor Magazine really needs PLE H,I mean H E L P.

Yours truly is phoning up other non-profits for ad space,which would work given that POOR Magazine’s on-line is a global entity.

Trouble is I’m not good at getting people to place ads here.

Now if it was my own business well that’s different but as an employee and all its…

I’m not good at reading off scripts because as a script it looks and sounds rote and robotic.

I end up off it so non-profit folks if you need to place an ad do it here at least it’ll go around the world a few times.

If folks have slightly used laptops,G3’s,4’s,5’s, desktop PC’s,or web cams, to give away we would put it to great use who knows it may be your web cam or PC that may enable you to see on line what POOR Magazine.

Hmmm,You Can’t Win Pic’s ?

Everyone enjoy the two day 4th?

San Francisco’s fizzled because of heavy cloud cover.

I walked over to the Square and Embarcadero hearing loud booms,some flashes but only saw ground-to-air sparklers.

Its like half my senses turned off with blunted sounds and flashes.

New York and other cities had great fireworks.

A few months ago while getting a free paper spied a grayish photo of a topless woman with a legend below which read "You can’t win."

Didn’t think much of it then a few days ago saw a blue inked outlined woman (again topless) with the same legend and I began thinking either it’s some new young girl(s) or women’s group promoting sexual equality,freedom.

However looking at the way the women are just there bare of breast, looking at,while daring males or females to look upon them with longing a longing that will be forever unfulfilled.

Maybe a boy or young man did this who knows but if one looks at it the words seem to challenge you to try.

I remember a time when lifting weights when being trained by a woman trainer used a women who obviously worked longer on weight training than I in fact she was a competitor I learned later.

Thing is I knew the woman was stronger than I because she is more experienced,has more knowledge.

The old men are naturally stronger dynamic doesn’t work when a guy though biologically stronger than a woman is placed against one who has trained for a few years.

its similar to martial arts in that if one does not study and expects to win.

A new student studying diligently could outshine the more experience rusty student.

I declined knowing the outcome of the unbalanced contest.

As for those two pictures of women showing defiance in their faces it came to me that there "You can’t win" is a truism.

Many women have trauma’s or must overcome handicaps men,boys,or other women doesn’t know about them and even if they get over their problems those inner trauma, sadness remains.

Boys, men not knowing these young girls or women’s inner turmoil aren’t able to help and since the women have by now have buried these deep problems.

It’s men who are blamed both the original caused these trauma’s and those who have no idea what make’s their girlfriends, wives,go off angry.

Most men are in no-win situations if they have no idea why their dearest loved one’s are so unhappy, despondent,and full of self loathing of themselves an others.

Just like that "When Harry Met Sally" with Sally’s fake orgasm at a lunch table.

Why bother going after an adorable,sensuous,and very pretty woman who’s made it her life’s work to not be touched in mind, heart,or spirit.

Guys, women who fake it and not tell you fool two people you and themselves and if women can get their own O’s as they like saying then let them enjoy self love,or with their sister’s.

Men and women make things difficult for themselves by no communicating,playing games,using double messages,and other subterfuge.

Its so bad that men need aDoubleAgent women who can decipher both men and women’s double talk because both women and men really don’t communicate but talk in coded messages.

All both sexes have to do is rid themselves of coded words,hidden motives, and cynicalput downs of each other.

The entire alternative sexes Bisexuals, Transsexuals,Transgender, Lesbians,Straight(s), Women-Men,Boys,and Girls have their codes problem is we cannot speak truth to power for each other’s lives.

All I can say as a Black Heterosexual Male is my deep liking of the feminine.

Its no pedestal or superior/inferior as both sexes are capable of immense cruelty,self sacrifice,devotion,love, self respect,and love.

I’m not going through knock down,dragged out, fights over whose the best/worst sex in People Worldom.

No more blame lets take our battered,bodies, bruised egos to the bed and gentle to rough,to ardently love away all our pains warts and all.

For the "You Can’t Win" Women.

You won; no one can against if you want to keep the battle.

Know this – when no one is there to fight,because they’ve given up,gone to those not warring but in active fraternizing with the so-called enemy.

This stupid battle of sexes that I am no part of will end either in either our species death or a final equalization of monies for equal work for equal pay.

Fem President’s,Vice President’s,meshing the best of men and fem.’s brain,hormone, psychological and chromosomal shared to remove all impediments in or half-and-half states.

Could it after all is said and done this is our reality,our birthright for us to succeed in evolutions slow ongoing race.

First and foremost we must both forgive and bolster our sexes,break all those men can’t,won’t fem.’s can’t,won’t do getting over all our limits and letter surpassing them.

Pol’s politics, issues, and noise about it is lost on me, all I vote for is lesser evils or a seemingly better person at the time and forget it.

‘Da Mayor of San Francisco is about to leave us high and dry [after making untold millions or more in real estate, stock’s and probably future S.F. Boasting and/or endorsements of all kinds.]Good for him but he leaves gaping holes in the economic structure of his adopted city; maybe I’m wrong and he’s done more to help working poor individuals, families, and the homeless than any other mayor.

Like I said I could be wrong about Mayor W. Brown’s administration.

New blood is need to replace the outgoing Administration. I know there are lots of players in this hard game of fame, high stakes, winner take all, of power politics.

Aside from a attorney getting death treats in the mail for whatever work, she’s doing to piss off other powerful persons, and Supervisor Gavin Newsom seeking one the highest, hardest, plus perkiest "jobs" the city has to offer, these two may one day be a future power couple to reckon with.

Death threats aside it will be interesting to watch after marriage, cake cutting, party, and honeymoon.

I won’t be watching the scene not having the time or inclination to wonder how these two people will fair but as for others interested in the society page it will probably be quite a show.

Its funny how stuff unfolds-recently there was an e-mail I happen to see about Tommy Hilfiger on the "Oprah" show what happened. I sent my brother who's studying studying in ‘Chi or Windy-C an e-mail though he could be too busy concentrating on his studies to blast friends or relatives in the great apple so its up to you readers.

Now back to Mr. Newsom. I’ve heard that he and Coalition On Homelessness had a meeting a week or so ago and C.O.H. had 23 point plan to help with the homeless problem. Now to me its curious that after that Mr. Newsom ‘kinda came up with "His 23" point plan on homelessmess and why it costs ran up to $104 million.
[Sometimes I read the S. F. ’Chron, I just don’t - OD-on it.]

I’d like to compare C O H’s plan with Mr. Newsom’s and see where they merge and differ.

The arresting panhandlers for being on median strips, (islands between streets and sidewalks where cars pause when overhead street lights turn red for them to stop) parking lots, transit stations or anywhere they are seen.

Being next former Supervisor, the Honorable, Rev. Amos Brown may have indeed have had some affect on Mr. Newsom is possible whether it’s a possitive or negative is still in question.

I don’t know, not being able compare C O H or Newsom plans side by side but it seems to me that one reason so much money is spent on homelessness is because…

There isn’t enough low income housing, medium to higher tech training, 2-4 year or money for Junior College and higher educational goals of working poor and homeless who could improve their lives instead of the a-job-any-job-syndrome of to many so called job ready organizations.

Tourists may spend a few million in the city but when they stop coming because of whether, safety or danger rumors or bomb threats they suffer but working people buy mostly where they live, invest in schools, homes, banks, or small businesses some of which become larger.

Ghost Towns happen when the poorest resident must relocate or starve, if a family moves that’s one future gone leaving gaps in the landscape.

While wealthy or at least comfortably well off take vacations, seek other places to live while watching their investments grow have no real stake unless their base of economic strength lay here and not scattered through out the world.

Who would you trust to stay in sudden a down turn:
1. An individual worker saving for a home single or married.
2. Couples settling down to raise a family.
3. Small one-person to family owned businesses with roots in the community or
4. Mega Corps. with offices, stores all over the country.
5. International Multi-corps with interests all over the planet.
6. Multi millionaires, billionaire investors who buy/sell whatever can create for them the most value.

I don’t know about you folks but could it be that Mr. Newsom’s Mayoral bid might be another "New Bleak Hope?"

Again I could be wrong but placing people in jail with fines so high that jail is where they’ll end up.

Looks like another hide ‘em away, lock ‘em up, see no problem – there is no problem.

Filling up jails is temporary and only makes homelessness worse unless those in jail are taught higher technical, economic skills, learning, and job training "Jail Could Be A Step Up." [Sorry Mr. Jessie Jackson for using the phrase too bad it still rings so true.]

But why not prevent all this with better job/career and learning skills before sending folks to jail.

Anyone with COH’s or Newsom's 23 points plan send them to me, I’d like see what’s what. Bye.

Low Carbs & Women Friends

Years before the low Carbohydrate trend my mother began to eat hamburgers,chicken,tuna and other sandwiches minus the bread.

Most café’s, restaurants,and fast food people dread her coming but complied because few people asked or demanded no bread.

Now it seems to have caught on for when I asked for a low carb burger and chicken sandwich my surprise it’s without bread and is replaced with lettuce covering the meat or poultry with most of the condiments in between.

At first I’m thinking "What Happened to My Bread?" before realizing bread is a starch and mom’s been eating this way for years.

It takes time getting use to though it’s a healthier way of eating.

Speaking of healthy life style changes platonic relationships between men and women for me as a man is tricky for once we’re able to be ourselves minus the sex its easier to communicate.

My problem as with most guys is when being a true friend with a woman or women as we go through our lives to be careful when women ask questions of a personal nature.

It may not be about themselves and their relationships that’s touchy,dangerous territory because if you care more than its appropriate than a friendship you may cause more problems than solve.

Another thing, women don’t want you to come up with solutions,answers,or way to deal with their problems.

They just want you to listen; even if you know the answer you keep your own council until she really wants to hear it.

Even then she may not be psychologically ready.

Someone to talk,walk, tell secrets to knowing you will not betray that trust.

A platonic relationship is most difficult when your friend is in emotional turmoil especially before, during,and after break–ups it’s a precarious for two straight platonic friends either for the guy or woman to comfort each other.

That is,its alright to show you care,be strong for the other but never take advantage of the other’s vulnerable state.

In a few I’ve had to brake contact because it became to physical and a few time when too weak I admit my need plus another’s passion fueled a broken platonic relationship.

Though afterwards we remained friends our consummation beyond platonic friendship made us wary of ever being alone with each other.

Glad I learned this lesson long before moving to San Francisco.

Anyway, having a few platonic fem friends to other men and some women always seems gayish.

For women with either guys or gal pals no stigma’s attaches I guess because society is use to women being friends with males or females while guys are so called hard wired to get women in bed before thinking them friends.

My idea is make as many platonic girlfriends as possible.

Think nothing of it as you go on with your life.

Sometime,it may or may not take years but sooner than not one or more of your female friends will either think you of as gay.

[let her go,you’ve nothing to prove trying to prove otherwise weirdly proves her case against you true or not]

Your fem friends will discuss you in secret to each other and outside of your group.

Ever so subtly some will try easing out of the land of Platonia and into the Bad Lands of more-than- friend.

Face it guys,women as good P-friends works when one has lots of female friends who will find each other and talk about qualities that drew them to you.

Each will actively try do deliberately destroy their platonic relationship and as you blame yourself for being a weak,evil, sleaze ball of man.

Your sweat,nice feminine friends(at least some) will take turns having you.

Whoever gets you too the hallowed halls of matrimony has won out over her friends.

Pregnancy by eyedropper, test tube,or cloning doesn’t count though it’s called a family; you have next to the original. [the original is extended families]

So,guys with too many platonic women don’t worry they only want proof that sexless friendship with men minus being gay is possible and afterwards you’re a hunted male endangered species (a good man)

Me,I have to buildup girlfriends,show I’m a great platonic straight man without his horn aimed at them.

Know they can trust me when they’re alone at their most fragile emotive states.

It raises my self-esteem showing there is character and grace within.

My fuzzy math says out of 20 or more women a few are lesbian,BI sexual, asexual,and the rest regular straight women in or out of relationships but still wanting a male to hang with.

I figure out of the 20 or more females (bringing their friends to enlarge the network) at least 5 or 9 will begin rethinking their bargain – it’s a woman’s prerogative to change their minds.

I know this much about the ladies once they have something the way they absolutely want it or not they’ll want to change their minds because they can.

Their own libertarian standards will force ‘em to make a good straight guy who isn’t chasing,asking, begging,or trying seduction methods,who is not after them in anyway.

Wonder about him, himself they will in small ways tempt him and if he does not fall he’s labeled gay,odd,or strange.

If he falls under her spell he’s her tracked down trophy.

POST FILM FREAK OUT

It’s late Thursday night;I’m going to store to get water for my thirsty boss around the corner, across the street.

The 100 year old Grant building has businesses and residents inside.

Again,I realize the boss has no way of knowing of my return from the store because there is no buzzer to the 3rd. Floor office building only two or three 3rd. Floor windows.

Could I be suffering from dehydration,lack of food or plain tired because when I round the corner before crossing the street I see a brother guy with the yellow receiver.

As I look contemplating if I had a small rock or pebble could it hit the window with enough force to make a noise without breaking the glass.

This guy in a wired voice asked
"what you looking at?"

"Third floor,looking a rock"

"I got rock."

That should’ve told me -back away-,go to the store.
"No,a rock for the third floor there's no buzz…"

"What you,here for why you starin’at me?"

"All I need is a pebble."

This guy is manic,mean he’s in some kinda hyper state and starts walking toward me.

"I said,what you lookin’ at?"
"I’m pointing to the third floor and suddenly realized this dudes 'not even listening.

Whatever demons he’s fighting,eats at him he’s focused on me he wants a violent confrontation.

Should I warn him of martial arts I know? (HELL NO)

He’s already freaked out.

I don’t know why,don’t care.(wanna tare his head off).

After buying the water, I still think I can hit the third floor window without cracking or breaking windows especially when spying a piece of wooden in the shape of a block.

I tried throwing it but it hit the second floor window instead.
The guy still by the phone yells,bitch,faggot, crossing the street.

I don’t know this guy's deal but I crossed the other way loudly saying
"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME! LEAVE ME ALONE,YOU ASSHOLE!."

I don’t know if he has knife,gun,stun gun all I know is he wants to get close.

My stomach had those fear flutters inside,the adrenaline fight or flight response.

Is he selling,buying,or using drugs,all of these?

All I know is he is paranoid about something I walk around the corner and become his focus to abuse verbally and physically; better the former than the latter.

The boss came down,I explained what happened and soon if I can I’ll get a key to the building.

As for Hyped Up,Crazed Fool Soul Brother Psycho Case.

I keep replaying the scene over and over and don’t see where I provoked this guy maybe the white sweater shirt ticked him off,I wore nothing underneath and do have adipose tissue (extra fat in chest area makes men'schest look like breasts).

It could’ve been my lazy left eye looking at him blindly as my right eye looked at third floor.

I don’t know but he had a look in his eyes that he wanted to stomp a mud hole in me for the hell of it.

I’ll have camera with flash plus a few sharp object up my sleeve’s and in my pocket because he didn’t get to finished what began namely beating me into a bloody pulp or blowing me away which is what ‘bro’s and sista’s do to ourselves these days.

Now I must buy film, another camera cause I don’t when Hyper Intense Guy Show up again.

I haven’t fought anyone in years,now I know why some ex soldier’s,martial artist’s,and mercenaries stay in shape because anywhere any time some stranger might pick a beef for no other reason than your in front of him.

All I know now is this guy’s made go into self defense/offence mode and staying fit as humanly possible even without equipment,gyms I’ve got the basics what must be done is brush up on them and continue,get to a fighting fit state and maintain it.

My model or the kind of shape I want to be in is from images of the old Greek God’s mainly Zeus. You know Son of Chronos, Thunderbolt hurling guy?

He’s sometimes pictured youthful or disguised as swan’s or bulls to seduce beautiful mortal women.

This guy thousands of years old,gray of hair, beard,and whiskers is buffed as any warrior no wonder Hercules looked so good and so strong look at his father and his forefather’s.

Thing is I want to rebuild my physique, keep in shape so when either young or older men, women want test me I’ll always be ready.

An extra-added benefit is looking really fit for an old guy and making women think twice about sex and elderly.

Young women love making fools of young guys,old guys to be may feel like physically testing old guys before laughing at them.

Problem is,these days elder men aren’t looking, acting like elders of old – it will take time for young and mature women to get use these fit,randy,ready, sensitive,and intelligent men of wealth of modest means.

I know women process faster than men[true]but do have certain societal blocks like "No sex with father,grand father figure, old guys dying after strenuous sex,or too old to get it up or in.

Mature women are finally getting’it from young men as old men has from younger women.

Now,maybe for the first time human’s young and old physiologically speaking can relax and know whatever age their man or woman are its a good thing.

A 70 year old men may live a longer,healthier lives as more young girls 21 or can now indulge their freak on with so called "old codgers" who very well out live them or their more mature sister’s.

It’s a new world girls, metrosexual males are not only looking good on the outside they are so actively working on preventing illness from robbing them of active years.

The Mature,older women thinking men as old fools with young girls should keep their own council as they too throb younger men’ cradle’s.

Now that’s what I call true equality among the sexes.
