My neighborhood:
All people of color
Bitterness
Pollution
Tight banging music
I am
I am Peruvian, Filipino, Irish,
and Black mixed with all that,
a beautiful sista who originated
from this world. I'm a youth
a singer, a lover, a bringer
of joy, a freedom fighter, party until
da whole nighter, an activist
a woman, a soul, a poet, a student
a teacher, somebody's girl, a cheerleader
cheering for rights.
