Who is Poor?

I know a homeless guy who I say hi to

when I walk to school. He seems really smart

and he warns me to stay in school.

He sleeps in a sleeping bag on Bartlett where you

can smell the smell of raw fish being taken into

the big food market.

I am

I am white/Latino

I am not poor and not rich

and I don't care what

people think about me.

I am me and

that's all I will be.
